In a firm resolve by the new government in the Gambia to cleanse the Augean stable, President Adama Barrow has reportedly inaugurated a 3-member commission of Inquiry to look into the assets of his predecessor, Yahya Jammeh.
This is the latest move by the government to search and recover the loot by the exiled Gambian dictator.
According to Barrow, the move was ‘‘another step in our change agenda for good governance.’‘
Jammeh while in power built in his hometown of Kanilai a standard housing estate with a mosque, a safari park and a military warfare training camp.

Loyalists to Jammeh, reports say,  are protesting over the inquiry and accusing the Barrow-led government of witch hunt.
Decrying the measures being taken by President Barrow, a member of his APRC party who expressed discontent and called for investigations into what he described as none other than witch-hunting was quoted as saying, “These people just want anything with any link to Jammeh and that’s not fair.”
