As the 10-day ultimatum elapses given the federal government by some northern groups, another northern group has warned to shut down government activities if the federal government does not issue an order for the re-arrest of Biafra secessionist leader Nnamdi Kanu.
The group staged a peaceful protest with placards bearing different inscriptions 'Igbos not Biafrans in Nigeria' and others.
Members of the group included Arewa Youth Assembly, AYA, and others gathered at the Unity Fountain in the Central Business District at about 9 a.m. and marched to the junction of the Presidential Villa.
The group expressing outrage warned the Federal Government not to test their resolve by delaying further to re-arrest Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra and take him back to prison custody adding that it is now increasingly becoming obvious that the IPOB leader constitutes a security risk to Nigeria.

Recall, the group had in a statement on July 27 threatened to shut down government business in the Federal Capital Territory if Acting President Yemi Osinbajo fails to order the arrest of Mr. Kanu who they said has consistently flouted his bail conditions.
The spokesman for the group while speaking to journalists vowed to mobilize a potent force that will shut down Abuja if Acting President Osinbajo refuses to order Kanu's arrest in the coming days.
“I will be very brief. We organized this peaceful protest as a warning and reminder to the federal government to arrest Nnamdi Kanu now.
“The Arewa Youth Assembly will not make a U-turn on its decisions. We intend to carry out our proposed plans and nothing can stop us.

“We will mobilize thousands of youth to shut down government activities in Abuja after our congress meeting next week Saturday,” he said.
