President-General Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Nwodo, goes to SOKOTO, begs cap in hand against another civil war in Nigeria

President General Ohaneze Indigbo John Nwodo Thursday urged  Nigerians to remain partners in progress of the country, stressing that Nigeria should in no circumstance experience  war the second time.
The  Second Republic Minister added that war generate no good but more harm in the country. 
Nwodo who  stated this in Sokoto when he paid a courtesy call on Governor Aminu Tambuwal at Government House, said  the visit of the delegation was to deliver the message of all South East Indigbo, all Governors, traditional leaders and spiritual leaders in the zone.
The President General said  unity and peaceful coexistence should  be a responsibility of all citizens of the country. 


"We must remain partners in progress of our country, as we have seen how our own fathers and forefathers live to make it grow and develop to its present stage," he stated. 

He lauded the Sultan of Sokoto Muhammad  Sa'ad Abubakar and Tambuwal for promoting   peace and unity among the people.

Speaking Governor Tambuwal commended  the Ohaneze Indigbo delegation for the visit and reiterated the commitment of  his government towards ensuring  peaceful coexistence  of all people residing in the state.
"Sokoto state is always home for all Nigerians, "he declared. 
Tambuwal pointed out:"Nigeria must remain one entity and its existence should not be questioned as God made us one from various tribes and ethnicity,  dependent on each other or even related for long." 

He said every Nigerian should live  anywhere of his choice in the country without discrimination or harassment.
The governor harped on the need for sustainable   peace and unity in the country noting it as  key to tackling challenges. 
He  advised that agitations should be channeled through proper discussions in the interest of the nation.
