As Northern and Southern Traditional rulers meet to discuss thorny issues affecting the peace and unity of the country, the chairman, Enugu state Council of Traditional Rulers, Igwe  Lawrence Agubuzu has stated a demand for the south-east.
The Northern Traditional Rulers' Council represented by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar in his capacity as the chairman harped on the general insecurity in the country especially between farmers/herdsmen clashes, killing of innocent women and children. 

The Sultan further said those picking up arms are criminals and be branded as such by any serious government.
He called on his Southern counterparts to tell them what they think should be done to make life better with a view to ensuring peace and security in the country.
Reacting,  the chairman, Enugu state Council of Traditional Rulers, Igwe  Lawrence Agubuzu said:
 "I look forward to when traditional rulers of Northern Nigeria will put their weight behind the demand of additional state in the region."
